Limassol police have arrested four men and one woman after seizing 2.3 kilos of cocaine sent from Greece with a courier service. The men are aged 33, 30, 39 and 27 and the woman 25.
The cocaine was found by anti-narcotics officers on Friday in the warehouse of the courier service and it was placed under surveillance.
A 33-year-old was arrested on Saturday when he went to pick up the parcel. Three others who were in the area and had been seen talking to the suspect were arrested and the woman was taken into custody late on Saturday after police obtained testimony against her.
Two Turkish Cypriots are under an eight-day remand after picking a parcel with 10 kilos of cannabis sent by the same person.
