Thieves blow up ATM with Explovie Device in Limassol

Damaged ATM (in-Cyprus)

Thieves blown up an ATM with Explosive device at the Hellenic Bank ATM, Ayia Fyla, Limassol and got away with a sum of money, first reports said on Tuesday.

The explosion occurred at around 3.20 am. Police said they were investigating a case of theft and attempted theft.

They added that the explosion had destroyed the ATM and damaged the facade of the bank. No indication was given as to how much money was stolen.

Video footage will be examined to identify the perpetrators. Last month thieves blow up two EuronetATM in limassol and took cash.
