Man dies in Paphos car accident

A 78 year old man named as Iezekiel Papaioannou from Panayia died in a car accident on Wednesday around 1 pm on a Paphos rural road, police said.

Under conditions that are being investigated, the man lost control of his vehicle on the Panayia road and it fell into a vineyard 5 meters below the road.

The 78 year old, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was taken to Paphos Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Paphos traffic police and Panayia police are investigating.
