A total of 87 booked by Police which includes drivers and pedestrians all over Cyprus, from 18:00 yesterday to 6 am morning for violating the decree regarding the prohibition of unnecessary movement, a spokesman for the Police told CNA.
Total of 3397 checks carried out by police and 87 were booked.
Specifically, in terms of drivers and pedestrians in Nicosia 1,156 checks were made and there were 7 complaints, in Limassol 940 checks and 36 complaints were made, in Larnaca 414 checks and 24 complaints were made, in Paphos 251 checks and 3 complaints were made, in Famagusta 26 were made and 13 complaints and in Morphou 79 inspections, without any complaint.
In addition, 219 inspections were carried out by the Traffic Police Headquarters, which carried out 3 complaints, and 77 inspections by the MMAD, with one complaint.
He also said that from the property checks from 18:00 yesterday to 6 this morning, 495 inspections were carried out and there were two booked.
