Mayor of Engomi requested coronavirus testing

Mayor of Engomi Municipality asks the scientific team to team of the Government for the decision for sampling by the population of Engomi, as it was done in Aradippou and Paphos. 

The outbreaks in supermarkets are worrying, Mr Kyriakou said, as some people appear to be spreading the virus. He does not consider whether the virus has spread among the citizens, but the staff of the Municipality of Engomi, which has been subjected to the whole COVID-19 test, was negative for the virus.

Yellow weather alert issued until Friday for rain and thunderstorm

The confirmed cases of coronavirus, which are found in Sklavenitis supermarket in the Municipality of Engomi are a concern to the Municipal Council and the residents of the area. 

Engomi Mayor Zacharias Kyriakou stressed the need which he also conveyed to the Ministry of Health, for sampling, in order to clarify the magnitude of the problem and to address it in a timely manner. Kyriakou asks for the cooperation of both private universities in the area.
