The body of the man was found in a rocky coastal area “Ammoudi” in Akamas, Paphos belongs to the missing Dimitris Antoniou, 28 years old, according to the results of the histopathological examinations.

During the forensic examination, samples were taken from the body and sent for histopathological examinations, while the evidence does not show any evidence of criminal activity.
After the identification of genetic material for the identification of the body, it became clear that the body of the man belongs to the missing person Dimitris Antoniou.
The body was in a state of decomposition and could not be identified after the identification was done by the DNA method.
The body of the young man was found by volunteer divers in the “Ammoudi” area on a rocky spot in Akamas. Police have cordoned off the scene where medical examiner Nikolas Charalambous was summoned for an autopsy.
Relatives of the missing person were also called to the scene for identification.
It is noted that the car driven by Antoniou was located in the land area of the port of Latsio and the clothes he was wearing in the sea area “Kakoskali”, at a distance of about two kilometres from the spot where the body was found.
Police and dozens of volunteers, friends and relatives of the young man also took part in the search for land, sea and air to locate the 28-year-old for almost a month.
