The Labor Day that we celebrate today, in unprecedented conditions, reminds us our need and obligation to protect workers, ensuring the protection of labour rights that have been won through timeless struggles, says the Minister of Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance, Zeta Eimilianidou in a message for Labour Day, noting that the goal is not to lay off any workers.
She adds that “altogether, Government and Social Partners, through our cooperation we can support employment while safeguarding jobs, job acquisitions and the conditions of each employee.”
“With the Support Plans of both the Employees and the Companies that we have announced, our goal is not to lay off any employees, by extending a protection network to those who are currently in a difficult position,” the Minister of Labour points out.
“We will continue to support and we will succeed again. I wish you a happy Labour Day “, she concludes.
