The Paphos District Court has issued a six-days detention order against a 28-year-old man in a rape case against a 72-year-old woman.
According to the Police, a 72-year-old woman complained to the Paphos Crime Investigation Department that she was raped by a 28-year-old man whom she named.
The 72 years old told the police that last night at 10 pm the 28 years old went to her house in the area of kissonerga and asked her for food, and after she gave food, then the boy asked to have sex with her. they both know each other.
The 72-year-old, however, resisted and threatened to stab her.
After the complaint, she was taken to Makario Hospital, where Police kept her for treatment, mainly for precautionary reasons, a medical examiner checked her, and find that she suffered vaginal bleeding and an injury to her upper lip.
After further investigation, Police arrested the 28-year-old; he denied any involvement in the case.
The investigation continues.
