Police on Monday captured two men in Paphos associated with looting a security van of €50,000 outside a bread shop in Ayios Dhometios in Nicosia.
The suspects were captured en route to Paphos in a taxi. One more man is looked for by police.
As indicated by reports, at roughly 2pm three people, one conveying a meat knife, ambushed a security van driver, as he came out of a bread kitchen, conveying the takings.
The three people took a pack containing €50,000 and fled.
Police later detected the suspects in a taxi on the motorway to Paphos close Diarizos. Officials captured the taxi, driving the suspects to escape into the fields.
Officials got two of the suspects and were presently looking for the third.
Starter assessment discovered that the cash was left inside the taxi and was recouped by police.
The cab driver was taken to the station for an announcement.
