For the fourth time this week, no new cases of coronavirus were announced by the health ministry.
The total confirmed number of cases remains 985.
The ministry said a total of 763 tests were processed over the past 24 hours.
In total 140 tests were processed from repatriated individuals and passengers, 245 from experiments conducted on private initiative, four from the school environment, two from hairdressers, aestheticians, and restaurant workers, 150 from individuals who returned to work during the second and third phase of lifting measures, 29 from contact tracing, 160 from state hospital laboratories, and 33 from individuals tested on the recommendation of their doctor.
One person is being treated at Famagusta General, the Covid reference hospital.
The ministry also said no patients were currently in intensive care units of any of the island’s hospitals.
One person in intensive care at Nicosia General but off the ventilator was moved to the typical hospital wing, after testing negative for the virus repeatedly, the ministry said.
Death was announced on Thursday that brought the total coronavirus fatalities to 19 plus six others who died with the disease but did not die from it but rather from underlying conditions that were the leading cause of death.
Those whose deaths were directly linked to Covid also had underlying conditions.
