The health ministry on Monday announced two new cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total to 996.
One of the cases was found after 766 samples from passengers and repatriated individuals. The second was found through a hospital lab test. The individual had a history of travel.
A total of 1,290 tests were carried out, the health ministry said.
These included the 766 of travelers and 215 tests at general hospital laboratories, which yielded positive results.
There were an additional 125 tests carried out through private initiative and six tests through contact tracing. A further 178 tests were done on vulnerable groups.
The last patient at the Famagusta reference hospital was discharged on Monday, and a new patient was admitted.
