Coronavirus: 2,840 checks, 63 booked

Police booked 61 individuals and two businesses for breaches of coronavirus decrees from Sunday until Monday.

A record 2,840 checks were carried out during 24 hours.

158 new covid-19 cases and four deaths update

More than 600 checks were conducted in Larnaca (610), Limassol (681) and Paphos (630). In Nicosia the number was 262, in Famagusta 461 and in the Morphou district 150.

18 individuals were fined in Nicosia, nine in Limassol, eight in Larnaca, 11 in Paphos, seven in Famagusta and three in Morphou.

Another five were booked on the motorways by traffic police.

Marine police checked 46 persons but did not charge anybody.
